hi,

          for reducing spam
STEP1-----Goto /usr/share/spamassain-> remove the files 72-active.cf
<http://72-active.cf> and 50-scores.cf <http://50-scores.cf>, before
removing take the backup of these files and create the files with the
same name in the /usr/share/spamassain

I don't understand at all how this would benefit anything. Please explain.

I would expect that removing the scores file would pretty much defeat the purpose of running SA.

STEP2----Goto /etc/mail/spamassassin

add the following line in local.cf <http://local.cf>
                                         score FH_DATE_PAST_20XX

AFAIK, this should be:
score FH_DATE_PAST_20XX 0.0
I don't know, but perhaps SA defaults to 0 when the value is omitted.
This rule compensates for a poorly written rule that creates false positives.

    Hello all,

During the beginning 2011, I can see an increased amount of spam
getting through. All spam e-mails are sent from yahoo/hotmail
    account with
more or less similar text as follows:

    ---------
A couple of weeks ago I tried to figure out day trading, and long
term trading in the market. I saw alot of places that notified me if
somethings a strong buy most of them are totally bogus, till i found
this one and I was showing atleast 150% returns on all the Symbols
they reco'd in just 2 days! Here check it out and let me know> Penny
    Picks1 <http://t.co/0jZUTDg>
    ---------

The spamassassin is not detecting spam scoring only 2.5 out of 4.

Any idea how to battle it? Would envoking
    ip-in-rdns-keyword-blacklist-file option help it?

    Many thanks
    Alex
