depending on your original server setup, it is possible to cone this
server to a VM,
I did this twice using cold clone.
But again it depends on the original server setup.

I've done this with my servers, converting to Xen VMs was not that
hard and you can find plenty of tutorials online with a little
googling. I am sure the situation is same with KVM.
