no, your message was completly ok. The problem is that the binary auto
detection for png seems to be broken in CVS (we already had the same
error some weeks ago). The convertion will only be applied to text files
normally. Binary files will be handled like binary data. A just try to
fix this using "cvs admin". This will be after a delay of some hours
also visible in the anonymous CVS.

P.S. It would be wonderful if your reenable your "change to DOS" option
and try it sometimes again.
