Hi Amit,

Whether you should stay or migrate depends on many factors.

First some notes about the releases:

0.7.x This is a legacy branch and only receives some bug fixing. As more
and more user switch to 0.8 we don't expect muach changes there.

0.8 This is our future. We have rebuild the foundation of qooxdoo and
plan to build on this. We don't expect any API changes to the core and
expect the migration to 0.9/1.0 to be smooth.

I can't give you a decisive answer whether to migrate or not but I try
to give you some general advise.

1. If your project is almost finished and you don't plan any large
changes after release -> stay with 0.7
2. If you have a very tight schedule/budget -> stay with 0.7 and plan
for migrate after the release

3. If you plan to extend and maintain your application for some time ->
migrate as early as possible to 0.8 because each line you add now has to
be migrated later.
4. If your application is still rather small -> migrate to 0.8 because
it is probably not much work
5. If you are bothered by 0.7 layout bugs or want to use a specific 0.8
feature -> migrate to 0.7

We have a migration guide in our wiki
<http://qooxdoo.org/documentation/0.8#from_0.7.x>. Some qooxdoo users
already posted their migration experience on the mailing list. I think
this is can be a big help as well.

I hope this helps,
Fabian
