Hi,
I am developing a, not too much complex, web application using Qooxdoo. It
works great with all browsers but it is dramatically slow using Internet
Explorer.
The slowness is especially evident in window construction, event
handling and the setting of a table model to a table.
Here some examples:

Window construction (except rendering):
     Firefox: 400ms
     Google Chrome:
400ms
     Opera: 400ms
     Safari: 270ms
     Internet Explorer 7: 1100ms

Table.setTableModel
     Firefox: 340ms
     Google Chrome: 230ms
     Opera:
250ms
     Safari: 220ms
     Internet Explorer 7: 1000ms
I am not able to
accurately measure the event handling but the user is very baffled while
attending his action take effect.
I use Qooxdoo 0.8.2 on an Intel Core 2 E6550
2,33GHZ, 4GB Ram personal computer. On older client machine the slowness of IE
is much more evident.
The difference of IE performance vary to much (from 300%
compared to Firefox to ~500% compared to Safari), so in my opinion it is not
only be due to the browser javascript engine. Maybe it is my code that needs
some optimization for IE, or maybe Qooxdoo needs some improvement for IE.
Are
there some tips in code optimization that I need to follow?
Are there some form
of commercial support that helps me to improve my code?
Has Qooxdoo team
planned further optimization for Internet Explorer?

Thanks for paying
attention to this post.

Massimo
