I just tried the createapplication-application demo (from svn trunk). It took about 8 Seconds to load the application (Firefox 3.5.1 on Ubuntu-Jaunty). The browser is running on one (shared) machine (not very busy) and the file is stored on another machine and accessed through NFS.
