Um, I am confused. Isn't the model always a qooxdoo object? Since I am used to doing things like listItem.getModel().getArbitraryModelProperty() ... So when I create a model from a form which contains a selectbox, which has a selected item with attached model data, wouldn't this model data be a qooxdoo object?
