Petr,

I think your opinions are important here! So don't stop criticize, because it
will only make Qooxdoo better. YOUR opinion is VALUABLE!

I can agree that it seems that your critics is not welcome from the writing.
Maybe it is, but you have to consider that most people here do not have English
as a native language. That might be a reason and a source of misunderstanding.
I think that the qooxdoo team can learn from this to be a little more cautious
when responding. There is a history of the same since qooxdoo started its
development.

I also think that the way the qooxdoo team supports, which they do
FANTASTICALLY well, can be softened.

Qooxdoo will NOT solve all problems of a web application. Some better and some
worse. But overall I think, with the trade offs, I can not see a better
framework.

Again, the activity from the qooxdoo team is most of the time splendid and
fast. There is sometimes a little resistance to ideas and there should be, but
the approach of course can always be better.

Adopt, adapt and improve......

Qooxdoo design is a well-thought-through framework, but it can be perfected....
I must say that I have not found a better framework for most of my problems to
solve.
I have to say that the team around qooxdoo answers much faster than any other
javascript framework sites I have tested during the evaluation phase.

Overall, it is currently the best!

My suggestion is that you contribute to speed it up and come up with concrete
and solid ideas how to make the framework better!

Stefan

--------------------
let me summarize this discussion:

1. TaskSpeed is not relevant benchmark for this topic. I'm talking
about speed of qooxdoo and not some css selector stuff which is
irrelevant. The speed killer is count of needed DOM elements per
application/widget, not javascript size or css selector speed.

Just look how many DOM elements are created for simple button, this is
really not about selectors.

2. Qooxdoo will be never for classic web-apps for speed/size reasons.
I can accept that, but the qooxdoo community have to accept that
qooxdoo will never spread (for me this is not problem at all).

3. I will never post here another qooxdoo critique mail. I have
feeling that critique is not welcome here and I really tried to be as
objective as possible.

I can understand that qooxdoo can't be good for everything, but really
think that the performance should be improved, this is all I wanted to
say...

Best regards
Petr
