Hi Simon,

since 2009 I'm using qooxdoo for MDI like application projects. IMHO it's
better to let the toolbar and the taskbar at the same container level.
Because if you want to let the bars accessible so just add the windows to
the desktop. But if you want to block all widgets with modal windows, so
just open the window without adding any where it will automatically be added
at root, so your whole app will be blocked.

I made a toolbar with two parts, first is static to open my modules
(windows) and second is for dynamic tool buttons, search fields and so on.
This part will be filled by active window.

By the way it would be cool to have a windowActivated event at
window.Manager.

Betreff: [qooxdoo-devel] More questions about qx.ui.window.Desktop

Hi

I added a toolbar to the Desktop but I would like to add a border to the
bottom edge but I am not sure how that is done. I can see it in the
demo browser but it is not part of the actual demo so it is somewhat
tedious to discover how it is set. I would like to know how to properly
set the toolbar border.

Secondly I added a window to the desktop but when it is maximized it
covers the toolbar. Is it necessary to add another container object and
put the window inside this object so that it does not cover the toolbar
when maximized? Alternatively can I add a VBox layout to the desktop
since I also want to add a status bar at the bottom of the desktop which
I also do not want covered by a window?

Thirdly the desktop does not seem to occupy the entire browser window so
contained windows get clipped when moved to the right. So how do you
configure the desktop window to occupy the entire browser window?

Thanks,
Simon
