I think that using github can be a good thing for qooxdoo visibility and to
have contrib always up to date if they are used. I think you will assist to
more and more extensions if the contrib process will become as simple as
node module (repository = github, installer = generate.py or .... http://
.......manifest.json)
By example, i've got a patch to purpose to canvascell contrib, i'm looking
for the good way to do that using sf/svn but it's not natural for me.
Today, i have to read/understand things, i loose some time because i'm
already a github user and i know how it's simple to contribute to something
with github. If the contrib was on github, i'll just have to fork, make a
patch, and purpose a merge. Simply, efficiency, online help, very quick.
I'm sure you already know that and i'm sure we just have to wait for that !

Btw.
First time i used qooxdoo few years ago, my brain was very happy compared
to extjs (just a question of feeling, not really a comparison).
First project successfully done, i've stopped qooxdoo (6 months without
coding)
Today got a new project. I can say 2 things :
1. the code of my previous project is readable and understandable, the
maner you have to code with qooxdoo is responsible of that, naturaly. It's
REALLY a good thing.
2. my memory has immediatly retreived qooxdoo syntax, like i never stop
coding
3. no breaking changes for important things (generate.py usage, docs,
website, forum).
It's a pleasure.
Qooxdoo must be more known, it must grow.
