I should have added that as long as I use: <base href="http://localhost/"; target="_blank"> in the index.html the images display.
However, this was not necessary in ver 1.6 so I need to understand how the resource URL is created by QooxDoo. I also need to learn how to host this application so that many different companies can use it but each will have there own database.
