I believe the issue to be the absence of the companion 'eclipse' (can be called
whatever you want, eg qpidmc in this case would be appropriate) launcher
executable file that the launchers have when exported from the Eclipse PDE
Builder. Certainly, its the only meaningful difference i could find between
what the Ant system constructs and what the PDE Builder output where the splash
worked correctly, and in the past i have noted that removing execution
permission from the file stoped the splash showing.
As you can see, the console does not need that executable to start, but its got
to be there for somthing, and i think this is it...I am planning to look at
this next week.
