Chant with me: If it has an IP address, then your DNS will have an entry both forward and backward. Ok, no rhymes or anything, but over and over and over, I run into clients who DON'T do this and they work around it all over the place. You MUST spend the effort. Either you'll spend the effort and do it right, or you'll spend the effort working around it. If it has an IP address, then it has forward and reverse DNS. Make your DNS admin write it 100 times on the blackboard. Sing it at her down the hall. Paint it in whiteboard marker on her windshield. And life will be good. Otherwise, you choose the dark side of DNS and your life will suck for all time there.
