The technical term is "double standard." As I have said before many times, I feel QRP-L started a death spiral after N3VXI threw in the towel. What we need (and had in him for a long time) is a neutral administrator, devoid of partisanship and who applies rules uniformly. Sadly, it has been apparent since just about Day One on qth.net that we no longer have one. The current administrator strikes me as distinctly partisan. As I have also said many times, remember the disastrous and mercifully short lived reign of What's His Name as QRP-L administrator? (Don't want to take the chance that he's on this list!) The current one isn't as bad, but the seeds are there. A little consistency would be nice in application of the rules, but apparently that is asking too much. I'm not about to touch the topic of selling any kits for more than the original price, or at least I won't touch it on QRP-L :-) Although I will make two comments on it; 1) I see nothing at all wrong with selling any kit for it's original sale price corrected to current dollars, ie, factoring inflation into it; 2) I did have a nice, long, philosophical reply being composed about the morals issue and all that, when I took a break and actually looked at the price of the eBay paddles.
