Hi,

A great freeware converter that I have used for years and requires little
setup is WinFF. There hasn't been very little it doesn't convert. I haven't
however checked out the license at a school level as I have just been
recommending teachers to individually load it on their CFT. As for loading,
you might need your technician to check out if it can run as an executable.

Subject: [qsiteict] Video file converters

Hi
I've been bombarded with requests over the last few weeks for requests for
software to convert video files (to allow for some editing).

I was hoping someone from the list may have the "panacea"!!!

I'm after:

-an application/s that is/are free
-converts .mod,mp2,mp4,.flv, flip to .avi (these are the "formats" we
currently have from our video cameras) -that can preferably be installed and
run from the executable in the directory, enabling a shortcut, rather than
requiring a complete school re-image

Not after much I know!!!!!! Any advice would certainly be welcome.
