I can't guarantee the "no snapping" - never tried it, but just fluid gluing of 
one PathView item to another one works fine, just needs some calculations with 
pen, paper and some "blessings" toward the designers of PathView API :)

Have a look at screenshot at http://store.ovi.com/content/135126
All the numbers are separate PathView elements. Looks totally like if it was a 
single long tape.
