As for paras being whiney, I have never really been around many, but have not heard any whining.
Miss Wheelchair USA is from here and is the head of a program that tells young people how to prevent head injuries. Another one, a guy, almost fell out of his chair trying to catch an elevator door for me. But they do drive nifty little sporty cars!
Oh yes, there was a para in rehab the same time I was. His injury was happened during work, so he was able to get his house, which was in the construction stage, totally accessible, get his 2 vehicles fixed so he can drive them, a 6 wheeled 4wheeler to go hunting with and last I heard had a motor home being converted. Workers Comp paid for everything!

A few para's I've known have been very nice, but in general they're a whiny bunch. Complaining about how difficult it is to get in and out of their Corvettes, heh! I prefer not to be associated by name with them. (this is all said w/ a grin on my face)
