Now Mark,
You of all people should know that music changes from generation to generation. My parents hated Rock and Roll. Socrates wrote a long discertation on his questions of the next generations ability to handle a complex society. With that said,  the truth is that all the best music was written by 1979. All the rest of the music is what I use to remind me of how good our generation was.It gives you a sense of contrast. I feel sorry for kids today that are stuck with rap and punk and heavy metal stars that are promoted despite their obvious lack of talent. lol

I was a very young kid in the 70's and my Dad was always playing his guitar and singing Johnny Cash & Marty Robbins tunes, sometimes I thought my house was a honky tonk club so I just joined in the singing.
My whole families filled with musicians and music has always been a huge part of my life and I like almost all music as long as it's tasteful which a lot of music lacks now a days.

Seems today musicians have nothing to really say except for a few bands and they don't get any air time.
Music is so transparent today even in Country music they seem to have nothing to say.
It's all about wrap it up get it out and sell it.

What about the Eagles and Joe Walsh.  They also had some great 70's tunes.

So true Bobbie , MUSIC is so powerful.  I remember seeing the Moody blues, three dog night, although my accident wasn't until 74, but happened in your same era.

I finally got to see Elton John last spring.

It brings back all the memories.  In a few weeks I'm going to see Jefferson starship.  I guess why I like to go to concerts. Music just seems to make you feel free!  I really love outdoor concerts.

Dana.
