But this was a good thing the government did. The company misled the
government and the people about how addicting the medication is. That is
what the government should do. They should not bother doctors who are giving
it to cancer patients and others in major pain. And doctors should give it
to those who need it, even if it means the government might want to check
their records.

I can't believe it is so hard to get doctors to help with pain meds. They
try to push you off to other doctors because they are too scared to write
prescriptions for medications like Oxycontin or MS-Contin, etc. I always get
the same excuse. The Government really is coming down on doctors who over
prescribe these drugs. Well them, don't over prescribe and keep good
records. Worry more about your patient. Think of your Hippocratic Oath. That
is to us, not the government. These meds are like your wanting to go snort
coke with a hooker. There are so many very hard meds out there, I don't know
why these became so evil. I know they are  abused a lot, but that should not
mean they should not be used properly.
