To: onemofor...@yahoo.com Date: Sunday, March 1, 2009, 11:03 AM Dear Sir, This is Mac the Gentleman that has been writing the emails. I absolutely understand your and everyone elses concern that I used this group to find work. I also understand that there are indeed many "freaks" out there that cant be trusted and shouldnt be in this field at all. I have used several other means to find a New Potential Client but to no avail. As I have said to others , if my attempt to find a new client has offended you at all you have my personal apology. I am Not a Stalker, I have Not asked for Any Personal Information from anyone. I am just a caring giving hardworking Caregiver looking for a new client. I thought this would be a good place to look since this group has members across the country I felt i could get the word out to a larger audience. I didnt want to restrict myself simply to Arizona. If you have suggestions on where I can find work I am open to them. I hope your day is a wonderful one Mac From: t crook <onemofor...@yahoo.com> To: quad-list@eskimo.com Sent: Sunday, March 1, 2009 9:53:03 AM Subject: Re: [QUAD-L] Creepy Caregiver? This dude could very well be a freak; it is odd to be searching this list for a place to work when the field has such a high turn-over rate, and openings are everywhere. With many years with agencies; I could write a book on all of the freaks I have had in my home, they are everywhere so be careful! Sort of like a wannabe. Dan At 10:46 AM 3/1/2009, wheelch...@aol.com said something that elicited my response: Mac has been around for a couple years that I am aware and he has posted here before a couple of times. Perhaps the largest growing occupation these days and for the future is personal health care which includes Home Aides. The best jobs can be found at the local level and those who must travel without a tangible and credible history are and should be suspect. I see on a regular basis, health care workers going home with their clients after trauma rehab on a permanent basis, only when there is an agreement based on mutual considerations. I have to accept that this common at other major rehab facilities too. I'm surprised that Mac is not working with the local groups or health care employers like VNA. How do others feel about this? Hence, I continue to wonder and challenge. Best Wishes In a message dated 2/27/2009 12:17:10 P.M. I hope this "anonymous" message isn't as creepy as the one it's intended to address. I would agree this person's email is quite suspicious considering it's being sent to everyone individually Off-List rather than as an "announcement" for available assistance On-List. Since "Mac Mac," the <caringsciassistant>, provided a Cell#, I'm wondering if call preceded by *67 might provide some info while masking your phone number? I wouldn't want to do it outside his 623 area code or local area (no sense paying for it). But the manner in which this is occuring makes me think maybe this <caringsciassistant> Mac is actually a business trying to start up. And considering the willingness to relocate... maybe a referral service? Again, I'm just guessing. I'm also guessing the email addresses are being harvested from the web archives since one need not be a member to read those but would have to be a member to post it to everyone. He/she could get them from Archives unless addresses *within* messages being replied to are "masked" in the archives... I can't remember. Obviously, as Quadius said earlier, please be cautious with any personal info you provide online. But don't let the Creepies or Heebie-Jeebies make you censor yourself, either... THAT would render the Quad-List useless! Best wishes to All, Ed (Alias) ------------Steve Oldaker wrote:--------- It appears that he e-mailed everyone on the Quad-List at a minimum.
