Hiya Dan! Welcome to "DA" gROUP. Electric Wheelchairs are now being manufactured inmass to meet the codes of CMS, their largest payer in North America. Most electric wheelchair are manufactured in China before being shipped for sale in this country. The rest are manufactured here with parts and components made in China. The Chinese also tell us what they will built and not build each production year. Often, that is the reason equipment is discontinued.on such short notice. Find someone who will purchase 50,000 base units and have them certified by CMS for coded payment and you just may get your wish.... Otherwise, keep up your cause.
