I'm sure you can get one. The alternating air mattress I had used while empty was just a flat plastic thing that laid over my mattress. You could just lay it on your side of the bed. I've also seen queen/king size beds that have individual remotes to raise/lower just your side of the bed.
Since my injury I have not been turned at night. It's worked for me so far. I have a 6 inch thick foam mattress on top of my regular mattress. I cut like a 20 inch square out where my butt goes. Then I cut like 3 inches off the top of that square and put it back in place. I then cut a 2 inch thick piece of egg crate mattress to fit in the square. I then put a 1 inch thick gel square piece on top of that (I got the gel on-line, supposed to be for a wheelchair cushion.) Because the square area can sink in more than if it was a solid mattress, it takes lots of pressure off. I sleep with my legs turned slightly with a pillow under my bottom knee and one between my knees. That's it. I sometimes turn the other way and sometimes just flat on my back.

Why a full Wheel?? that is one thing I was wondering about---Right now I sleep in bed beside my wife on a regular queen bed, she turns me once or twice a night, but my circulation is slowly getting worse and turning me is hard on her. I'm not sure if I may need to go in a hospital bed eventually--would be nice to be able to have a bed that could let me set-up in bed (adjustable) We are wondering if I get a alternating air mattress for just my half of the bed , if that would work?? thanks, Dan H.
