I flush my catheter daily using a tap water/vinegar mix. I've told my Dr. this
& he said it's fine. I've been uti-free, & clog-free since.

Drug protocol is between you and your doctor, based on the kind and amount
of bacteria that has colonized in your bladder. Irrigation is normally
considered when the Catheter gets clogged. Granted, there might be some cases
when this might be recommended, using a nurse or doctor.

    Dear friends,

I was wondering if any of you do irrigation of bladder on a regular basis.
Any risk ? How much saline water must be put in ? I am using a 3-headed foley
(indwelling) catheter at present.
If I have a UTI without symptoms (fever, cloudy urine etc.), should I
undergo antibiotic treatment ?
    Thanks in advance :-)
