About 4 years ago I had a kidney stone (that was blocking my ureter) it was removed via a temporary Nephrostomy Tube. This tube was in place for about 5 weeks. They took it out and I thought that was the end of it until about 2 mouths ago when urine started leaking from where the tube was inserted. My urologist insists the only option I have is to have a permanent Nephrostomy tube since a stone has reformed in the same spot and the function of that kidney is so damaged that it is only functioning at 10%.
I already have a Supra Pubic and I don't want to live the rest of my life with another tube and associated bag. Has anyone heard of such a thing? Dan
