I suspect that your specialist in Louisiana are sending you to Craig for an 
 evaluation. Craig may or may not agree with your specialist's  
recommendations.  You will be at one of the best facilities for an  evaluation.

Yes, many quads have Syringomyelia---i was diagnossed in about 1999 but  
doctors here in St.louis said they will not touch it unless I lose the  
function that I currently have. They told Ron-- another missouri quad the same  
thing. ( it is very dangerous and risky and sometimes the surgury does not

I was diagnosed with a syrinx in 1995, never had surgery. Why dose your  
Doctor feel the need? Have you lost some function and or feeling?  Bobbie
