KK,
That is just wonderful!!! I'm sooooo excited for you. I remember when I moved into my own HUD apartment 30 YEARS ago. It's just a very small one bedroom with accessible bathroom and kitchen I can wheel under. BUT IT'S MINE!!! Do you have a mov-in date? Please let me know when you move in.
Bobbie

Subject: [QUAD-L] I'm moving

I got approved to move to a wheelchair accessible apartment.  I will be able to take a bath & wash my hair inside the bath tub.  Bake a cake - yeah no way!  But I could do it in my accessible kitchen.  I will have a dressing area & a separate bath room.

The bed room isn't big, just enough room for the bed.  The living room & kitchen area is huge. Everyone I have met there is happy and they are able to leave their apt and sit in the common area & visit.

There is no management on site.  There is a social worker there.

Here is what the apt is going to look like

I am so excited.
