Sounds similar to an IVP.  IVP used x-ray not CT ... may be obsolete by now.

Good luck!

I have a renal ultrasound every year - I just went yesterday.  I used to have
an IVP, but haven't had one in years.  I think the renal ultrasound measures
kidney/bladder function as well as finding stones.  I'd ask for one if you're
having pain and spasms.

Good luck!

Can any of you tell me the best way to get my kidneys and bladder checked?
every few years my urologist takes a scope and checks my bladder for stones, I
been having a lot more pain and spasms the last few months so i just want to
check both if possible for any problems. Would I need to go into the hospital
or how can they check those? thanks for any replies !   Dan H**
