Sounds similar to an IVP. IVP used x-ray not CT ... may be obsolete by now.

I used to have an IVP, but haven't had one in years. I think the renal ultrasound measures kidney/bladder function as well as finding stones. I'd ask for one if you're having pain and spasms.
