I have always had a severely itchy scalp since my SCI. About nine months ago
I began using olive leaf from Amazon on the advice of someone here on the
list. It's has helped my scalp, my left over shingles, and my skin. I use a
bottle a month, about $9.00. I began noticing a difference after two or
three weeks. Try it, you might like it. Joan

Subject: [QUAD-L] itchy scalp

For quite some time the top of my head has itch so bad. I've tried a bunch
of different shampoos, moisturizers, cortisone creams, but nothing works.
It's like the very top of my head. I'm sure it's not that I am not getting
all the shampoo out. That's the one spot that gets rinsed off the best. I
thought it might be sunburns, but I have gone months now never going outside
without wearing a hat. Sometimes it can itch so bad it hurts. Sometimes I
don't notice it but if the area gets touched it will start up again. It's
not red, it doesn't look irritated. I even cut my hair very short, like 1/4
inch long. There are no bumps, red spots, scratches, bugs, etc. my regular
doctor looked at it and said it looked fine. So I guess maybe I should see a
dermatologist or something. Because some days it drives me crazy. I can't
reach that spot very well to scratch it, I can barely reach it with just the
back of my hand/thumb. And that doesn't scratch it very well.

For the lhast year so I have Kept my hair very short. I was thinking maybe
one of the times when they cut my hair short using a pair of shears, the
shears somehow scratched my scalp and irritated it.
