You are correct and I do that. Also, i have noticed that when you have a thorough bowel movement it helps the medicine work better...weird I know, but true for me. Anyone else notice that?

Staying on one drug will cause it to lose its effectiveness.at that point you are taking the drug and its not doing anything but feeding an addiction. No one in pain wants to hear this but the fact is you must find another drug or device while you detox. The drug needs to come from another family of drugs. Altering your medications and using milder drugs whatever the pain isn't quite as bad can help extend the use of Norco or vicodin. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally sympathetic I've been on the trip myself. john s Sent from my Verizon Wireless 4G LTE smartphone -------- Original message -------- From: jume9...@comcast.net Date:11/24/2014 3:40 PM (GMT-05:00) To: quad-list Subject: Re: [QUAD-L] Autonomic Dysreflexia and pain I have the same thing with pinched nerves from my disc. Also, when I first broke my neck My hip on one side got inflamed with calcium deposits (hetertopicosification) witch has left me crooked. The last few years my whole other side has deterorated and so Norco has stopped working very well. What is the next step up in pain management.? They won't operate. There's no cure for it. It causes nerves to be pinched as well as making it impossible to position comfortably. Bladder and bowels all seem fine-no pressure sores or etc. that we can find. When I try to lay down at night after a while I get real hot and clammy, my heart begins to pound and act up. I do have a syrinx and bad neck and back pain but not sure if that can be the problem. I guess Monday I'll try to call my primary doctor and get checkup and bloodwork for a start, This stuff is depressing and drives my wife crazy making her lose sleep also, plus she is a caregiver to an elderly woman with alzheimers 4 days a week. This Quad related stuff can be so challenging at times ! Well I guess i'm done venting...it's about 3:45 am. Hope To get better before long. Dan H***
