It happens to me when I eat past my usual time, I feel like I start to get weak so when I start eating I use what little strength I have left to chew so I get light headed. It used to happen to me while in therapy as well, my therapist would put pressure on my belly and that would help, or she would shake my legs to get my circulation going.

Do you? If your breathing and/or cardiovascular system has been affected, diminished due to your disability, then it happened because you aren't breathing while eating. Do you? I don't know how common it is for quads to get lightheaded while eating, but I do have the problem occasionally. Usually when I'm eating something that is really chewy. I find if I recline in the wheelchair for a couple minutes my blood pressure goes back up and I can resume eating. That probably isn't of any help to you but that is the only thing I have found helps.
