The utility that comes with Pro Tools may be available on their web site someplace, it is called DigiTest and in Pro Tools, it returns a graphic description of what cards are in which slot(s) and if they are functioning properly. You need to have the right inits, and other software for it to work properly, I know that it would have worked with Sound Designer or the old Sound Tools way back when. I bet if you log in to the Digi User's Conference you will get the answer and probably some guidance.
