Is Berkeley Systems still in business at all? Anyhoo...the company pretty much gave away After Dark with the free updater to bring every conceivable version of After Dark up to 4.03 (do a Google on the updater; it should still be out there). After Dark 4.03 happily resided on my Performa 476, on OS 8.1, until I outfitted the 476 to give away to a friend in Charlotte (who has yet to pick it up). Even with 68MB RAM, I did *not* put a copy of After Dark on the 476, instead opting for Darkside of the Mac, for a couple of reasons: it's an application and not a control panel that eats resources for breakfast, and it's stable. Darkside runs most After Dark modules, and I've never seen a frozen black screen or a frozen set of flying toasters under Darkside. Yet. There's always tomorrow. (YMMV.) peace.... -- Cheers!
