I've got one and a very similar Performa (Macintosh Performa 640CD DOS
Compatible) with a 128MB RAM stick in it (132 total), a full 68040, 486
DOS card, TV Tuner, Video Card & Comm Slot 10/T Ethernet. It's a bit
cludgy using OS 8.1 and web browsing is cludgy, too (even running a RAM
disk for cache). It makes a quite acceptable 'all purpose machine', tho.
Trade off is speed, compared with PCI machines (except TV). A resistor
swap can boost processor speed to 40MHz, but can sometimes cause other
card problems, I hear. There's also a MPEG-1 that goes into the PDS slot
& connects to the Video In card for Video CD format movies.

Am slowly putting together a 6360 with the same sort of configs & a G3
card to solve the speed probs and to keep it all in the same small box.

Lou
