Either >way what would this slot be for? -------------- Haven't dug a 630 out of the "stack-o-Macs" to check, but I believe the "extra" solder pads are for a ROM slot. A lot of early Macs had either a removeable ROM or a soldered on ROM with an additional ROM slot in case Apple made an update to the "firmware" for the machine.
