It is an accelerator for a Quadra... Either a 33 MHz or a 40 MHz 68040 processor to upgrade a Q-700 / Q-800 / Q-900 / Q-950 and maybe a Q-650... although I have never seen a 650. In addition to a faster CPU, it adds a 128K cache (sort of). The little expansion connector is used to add a twin AT&T DSP card giving Photoshop acceleration.
