It's not the zip cartridge, it is the zip drive. That is called the "Click of Death," and it is very common with zip drives. There are sites out there that tell you how to take the drive apart and fix it (Google "click of death"), but it might be easier just to buy another one off ebay. They only cost around $15.00.
