Some of the articles are somewhat dated so it's great to be on a list with real people with real experiences. I'd start here: http://lowendmac.com/performa.shtml and check out the link that's model specific to you. As far as what I've done, I've swapped out the 25 MHz 68LC040 for a 25 MHz 68040, added a PDS Ethernet card and if you read my previous post, I've had success with a 4.2 GB HD as well as a 9.0 GB HD. I've always wanted to max out the RAM but have been uncertain as to what max is. 32 Mb per Apple specs but as one list member has reported, on this very list, has used more. When I maxed out my 7100, I took out 2 x 8Mb and 2 x 16 Mb. One of the 16 Mb RAM is in the 476 until I decide I want/need more. BTW All items were purchased through internet auctions. -stew

How far would I be able to upgrade an LC475? Currently it has 8Mb of
RAM, and a 250Mb Hard Drive.

Is there a limit on how high I can go with either of those?

As well, a short time back I was asking about PDS Ethernet cards for
said pair of LC475s. I never got around to actually getting any of them,
because there were still a couple of other parts that I needed first.
