I would really like to stay on Google Hangout.

Pros: Multi-Platform (this includes tablets, smartphones, linux),
connections to Google Docs, Presentations and easy recording (If we decide to this in future)

Voice Call-in are possible. It’s easy to attach a phone number if needed (and free) [Adding the App “Ueberconference” in hangout does this. Probably other choices as well)

For everyone blocked for access to Google (Does this really exist?), I’m sure there are people blocked to access other tools who frequently use insecure Java or Flash
or proprietary plugins)

So really, no online system will work, you need PSTN.
G+ hangouts will let us phone you, or phone your normal corporate bridge.

Can you join a Google Doc for a shared text space?
Or etherpad?
