No, not just you but comparing yourself to crash test isn't the best you can do. The mounting points are all ok so no issues on that front.
I managed to locate one Anti rollbar in the local scrap yard that looks anything like the one I have removed, it's off an escort estate, it is 22mm diameter (against the 24mm one the Quatum had on it) and as it is the only older escort in the place I think I will have to get it but how do I tell what mark escort it is as there is no number plate on it. Was the Mk4 the first to have a "one" piece antiroll bar as opposed to the XR3 twin roll bar? All I can say for sure is that the engine was a CVH unit. I thought I would find a few more older escorts in the scrapyard but they are drying up really fast.
