The ball joint was a parallell pin the one I removed was 17mm diameter, the first replacement, the cause of all the merryment, was16.5mm, the supplier has now swapped this for another (qsa1650) this has a 17mm pin diameter, only need to buy a ball joint locking bolt now, this is another cock up due to wrong parts, I sheared the origonal trying to tighten enough to stop the "play", if the snow keeps off I hope to be back on the road tomorrow.
