Do you have a towbar on the 2+2? By far the best bike racks (IMHO) are ones which fit to a towball rather than to the hatch/bootlid with straps etc. There are many available which drop straight on a tow ball, and can then be easily fitted - and also removed easily if needs be for boot access **** Important to ensure they can be secured to stop a tea leaf stealing both the bikes and the rack though!

The only issue I can see is how to secure the bottom, as they usually mount
onto the underside of the car's bumper.  The only solution I could think of
is to make some brackets that could be hidden under the car to secure the
lower straps.
