Hi Lewis I've got a Witter Cycle Carrier on my 2+2 which works well but does need a towbar fitted. It has a bracket mounted permanently behind the tow-ball and when you want to use it you just slot the carrier into it. To secure it against 'tea leafs' I run a long bike lock cable through loops in both parts of the carrier and through bits of the bikes. I can only open the boot a couple of inches when bikes are fitted but it's quick enough to take off.
