I was not able to get a replacement servo, new or second hand. So removed the existing one for a close examination and after cleaning all the way round the seam I found a very small hole in the sealant used between the two halves. I have now re-sealed the the joint all the way round with silicone and refitted to the car, left it to set over night and today it seems to have done the trick, the revs at idle now around 1100rpm.I think I will live with that for a while, rather than trying to reset the ECU again in case I make it worse.
