Sure right there, I still reckon that a suitable frame to mount a bike
engine in the boot and junk the lump of iron up front would make the 2+2 a
flyer.

I agree with Jim here. The zetec was an original option so it's a valid
combination.
In addition to this, I believe that kit cars evolve over time as our nature
is to 'constantly improve' (tinker).
