let us know how you get on...   interesting they came and collected it,
with my RH, they inspected it on my drive. remember you don't have to go
with whoever they say is the repairer, you can say you want quantum to do
it as long as their quote is good.  you may even be able to argue you just
need parts and you can fix it yourself to keep the cost down to stop them
making it a write off.

or if it is safe, just don't make a claim as such.
