It looks like I'm not going to be able to take the Xtreme to France! Having had the wire for the lamda sensor replaced its back to the MOT.At the MOT retest, in failed on the emissions " with black smoke visible when it was reved." The MOT chap said it's either the CAT or the ECU!Given the lamda wire shorted/ melted I fear its the ECU.A spare Lamda was tried. Northampton Motorsport phone is engaged. I can't see any way I can find anyone to sort this in the next seven days. So It looks like I will be in the Fiesta not the Xtreme for the France trip.
