It was never intended that the rear screen should be completely
watertight, any water that does get past the rear screen runs down
behind the rear seat area and down through drain holes in the sills.
Unfortunately it goes over part of the chassis on the way down which can
cause some rust issues.
I think the only person that managed to make the rear screen watertight
was Hamish, i'm not sure if he is still on the forum.
If my rebuild gets that far i am thinking on making a channel on the
bottom of the rear screen with a couple of pipes to take the water
directly out below the car rather than letting it find it's own way.

big to me to find anything that would reasonably seal it?
The old seal was reasonably inflexible and perished but even with a
like for like new seal on there is a whopping gap underneath the
windscreen.
I can't even consider taking it out in the rain or washing it or anything!
