Firstly a silly question, have you checked the battery in the remote isn't
flat, there is a led on the remote but it will still flash even if there's
not enough power in it to send a signal.
I seem to remember the texalarm on my 2+2 stop responding to the remote a
couple of times.
On mine there is a reset button in a hole in the side of the main control
box that you can press with a paperclip, i think it will then recode it to
the remote when you press it.
Somewhere i do have the instructions for it still but Quantum did use a
couple of different version of the Texalarm.
To bypass it you will just need to trace the wires back from the control
unit into the loom, these are probably all black wires.
Most of the wires will just tap into existing circuits without breaking them
but in 1 or 2 places you should find the original Ford wire has been cut and
there are wires to the alarm from each side.
You will need to rejoin the original cut wires to bypass the immobiliser.
On a petrol engine these usually break the ignition coil circuit and the
starter circuit, on a Diesel it is probably the fuel cutoff solenoid and the
starter.
If it's been done properly the cut wires will be behind the dash and the
ends won't be adjacent (i.e a section of the original wire is missing) but
this is rarely done and usually the wires are cut on the steering column
(especially for the starter) or near the ignition coil / fuel cutoff
solenoid .

Hi, looking for some help as during this lockdown decided to take wraps off
long stored 2+2. The Texalarm which I believe to be aftermarket on this 1.8
turbo diesel will notfunction; there appears to be a receiver unit in the
central console and a tell-tale LED on the righthand side of the upper
dash.With battery charged this LED is lit but does not react to fob.Any
help/advice on how to address or by-pass would be much appreciated.Regards
