I have an example of this up on my blog at http://www.samkass.com/blog/page4/files/dafa924cd8213188531b4c0359e1b9b5-9.html . This one just combines something like 95% old, 5% new image pixel values into each frame so things fade as they're averaged out.

There are a few others at http://www.samkass.com/blog/page4/page4.html that might help. These were all done with QC 2 a couple years ago so hopefully they still work. I haven't had as much time as I'd like to play with Leopard's QC.

Hello everyone,
I am trying to implement an effect where I create ghost images that sit behind any object that moves across the screen.
An effect that would turn a moving ball of light into a comet.

I've been playing with the accumulator, and looked at example compositions and have not been able to get anything satisfactory yet. The closest thing is the "stix.qtz" example, but that is done by redrawing the primary image many times - not what I'm after.

Can anyone offer help?

Is there some GL code somewhere that'll do this?

Thanks
Jack
