Hello Everyone,
I've been a stowaway on this ship for a little over a year now. I'd
like to begin by thanking you all for the privilege of listening in.
I'm no developer, and I have nothing in the way of a programming
background, but I've been teaching myself (with some kind help)
Processing and Quartz Composer for the last year and beyond (I got
started in August of 08).
Needless to say, I have many questions, but am a bit daunted by the
advanced level of discourse here. Nonetheless, I'd like to start with
something very simple.
I've pieced together a custom slideshow, mostly from scratch, and
I've gotten it to a stage that I'm really pretty happy with. What I'd
like to know concerns the use of the Folder Images patch.
I'd like to be able to throw together slide show contents on the fly.
I'm happy to do this outside of QC, but it'd be best to be able to
make a folder and then throw a bunch of aliases inside. So far
though, it seems to me that the Folder Images patch ignores folder
aliases.
Is this correct? Is there a way to handle aliases within a folder
structure? Am I overlooking something? Any pointers are appreciated.
Apologies if the answer is in the archives somewhere. Tips on proper
forum usage are welcome also.
